Planning a Visit at Home
Deciding whether home imaging is right
Home diagnostics make sense when travel is the obstacle rather than the complexity of the test. If the result is likely to lead straight to a hospital admission or an urgent procedure, going to a facility in the first place is usually faster and safer, and our team will say so.
Getting the most from one visit
Group what is needed. If bloodwork, imaging and a review are all due, arranging them together spares the patient repeated disturbance and gives a clearer picture on the same day rather than across three weeks.
What to have ready

- Recent discharge letters or specialist notes
- Identification and insurance details
- A clear route and space to work in
- A phone number for whoever should receive the results
Tell us in advance about
Difficulty lying flat, inability to move without assistance, confusion or distress with unfamiliar people, pregnancy, and any implanted device. Each of these changes how the visit is staffed and planned.
