Mental Health, Therapy & Counseling
A Safe Space to Heal and Grow
Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do for your mental health is simply have a trained, compassionate professional to talk to. Kare Center’s therapy and counseling services provide that, in a judgment-free environment built entirely around your wellbeing.
Our licensed therapists and counselors use evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and solution-focused therapy to help you process challenges, build coping skills, and move forward with confidence.

Starting Therapy
What the first session is for
The first session is mostly about getting the picture: what brought you in, what you have already tried, what you want to be different. You are not expected to have it organized or to get through your whole history. Most people find the first session the hardest and the third much easier.
Finding the right fit
The relationship with your therapist matters more than almost anything else in whether therapy helps. If after a few sessions it does not feel right, say so. Asking to change therapist is a normal and reasonable request, not a failure or an insult.
How long it takes
Some difficulties respond within six to twelve sessions. Others take longer. Your therapist should be able to tell you roughly what to expect for your situation and review it with you as you go rather than leaving it open ended.
Practical things worth knowing
- Sessions usually run about 45 to 55 minutes
- Regular attendance matters more than session length
- Bring your insurance details so coverage can be checked before you start
- Tell us if a particular day or time is the only one that works, so it can be held for you
If things get worse before your next session
Call us. If you are thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at any hour, or call 911 if you are in immediate danger.
